Essential Qualification(s) for Project JRF: M.Sc. in Chemistry, and a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests including CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship and GATE, or b) Selection through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, IMCR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.

Emoluments: Rs 37000/- + HRA for Project JRF

Essential Qualification(s) for Project Associate-I: M.Sc. in Chemistry

Emoluments: Rs 25000/- + HRA for Project Associate-I

Age: Maximum 28 years for Project JRF / 35 years for Project Associate-I as on the last date of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per Institute rules.

Duration of the project: This post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR – Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab./Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 6 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.  No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.

Job Description: Selected candidate will work on SERB-funded SERB POWER GRANT (SPG) entitled: Functionalized s-Heptazine containing materials and their Applications in CO₂ Utilization. The main objective of this project is to construct s-Heptazine based systems and their functionalization (metal-free and metallated systems) for their applications as heterogeneous catalyst in the utilization of CO₂ for various value added products like cyclic carbonates, polycarbonates and so on.
